CHP figures pay support visit to Zeyrek! 'A very grave situation'

The treatment of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek, who was seriously injured after suffering an electric shock at his home, continues in the intensive care unit at Manisa Celal Bayar University Hafsa Sultan Hospital.

CHP Deputy Chairmen Zeliha Aksaz Şahbaz, Yalçın Karatepe, and Yankı Bağcıoğlu also arrived at the hospital, met with Zeyrek's relatives, and conveyed their get-well wishes.

ŞAHBAZ: “A VERY GRAVE SITUATION…”

CHP Deputy Chairman responsible for the Ministry of Health and Health Policies, Dr. Zeliha Aksaz Şahbaz, stated the following:

"Our Mayor Ferdi is a friend who is truly loved both in Manisa and throughout Turkey. He is a friend of ours who has performed very beautiful duties in Manisa and has served as Metropolitan Mayor with great success. Unfortunately, he faced such an unfortunate household accident. Of course, this is something that happened in Turkey due to a lack of attention to work and technical malfunctions there. We are very sad. Our mayor is currently holding on to life thanks to the immediate intervention and the treatment and interventions carried out with intense care by our health personnel and physicians, and he is in intensive care.

Again, including the 112 emergency services, the professors at Celal Bayar University and experts from all over Turkey are currently providing support for his treatment. He is being cared for with great diligence. We believe he is being treated in the best possible way. Our Chief Physician is providing information through press statements. It is necessary not to pay attention to misinformation outside of this. His condition is currently stable. But of course, it is not easy; we are experiencing a grave situation. We wish for his recovery. We are facing a very serious health situation. We wish for him to regain his health as soon as possible. We thank all our professors, the staff at Celal Bayar University, our nurses, and all our healthcare workers. The Republic of Turkey has mobilized all its resources."

KARATEPE: "THE PEOPLE OF MANISA ARE EXPERIENCING DEEP SORROW"

CHP Deputy Chairman Yalçın Karatepe also expressed his sadness, saying, "Our Mayor Ferdi was not just the mayor of the people of Manisa. He was a mayor who was truly quite popular, recognized, and known in Turkey as well. He had a very unfortunate accident. We are very sad. But we believe that our Mayor Ferdi will regain his health as soon as possible. We hope that his youth and his very healthy constitution will lead to a quick recovery from the process he is in. Our prayers are with him. We saw here today that the people of Manisa are experiencing deep sorrow due to the incident that happened to their Mayor Ferdi. We see that everyone's hearts and prayers are with our Mayor Ferdi. We also hope that our Mayor Ferdi will regain his health as soon as possible and return to his post. He will continue to serve the people of Manisa by using the authority given to him by the people of Manisa. Our prayers are with our mayor," he said.

BAĞCIOĞLU: "WHAT HE HAS BROUGHT TO MANISA IN 15 MONTHS WILL BE AN EXAMPLE NOT JUST TO MANISA, BUT TO TURKEY"

Yankı Bağcıoğlu said, "We are extremely saddened by this unfortunate incident that Mayor Ferdi experienced. If you ask anyone in Manisa, regardless of their political view, the municipal work he has done in 15 months, which will be an example not just to Manisa but to Turkey, is still on everyone's mind. But we are sure that Mayor Ferdi will regain his health as soon as possible and will continue the services he has provided to Manisa in the same way and at the same pace. As you can see, there is a large crowd here. Everyone's prayers are with Mayor Ferdi. At this stage, I would like to express all my prayers, all my heartfelt wishes, and my hopes for Mayor Ferdi's recovery once again," he said.
