Extraordinary Convention activity in CHP: Here is the name who will announce their candidacy!

Hot developments are unfolding one after another in the CHP. As the political arena is shaken by the arrest of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, a decision for an extraordinary convention has been taken in the CHP. All eyes are now turned to the names who will run for the party chairmanship at the convention.

Journalist Barış Yarkadaş, a guest on the Taksim Meydanı program broadcast on TGRT Haber, made important statements regarding the developments in the CHP. Yarkadaş specifically announced the names that have come to the fore during the convention process.

Barış Yarkadaş stated that two names are standing out as preparing for candidacy for the CHP chairmanship. He said that one of them is former MP Müslim Sarı, and the other is Berhan Şimşek, who served as a CHP MP for a period.

Yarkadaş stated, “Müslim Sarı will most likely announce his candidacy on Saturday. He has completed his preparations regarding this matter. He is expected to give a clear message regarding the convention process.”

BERHAN ŞİMŞEK GAVE A SIGNAL OF CANDIDACY

Yarkadaş conveyed that Berhan Şimşek is also evaluating the issue of candidacy and is in contact with some names within the party. However, there has been no official statement from Şimşek yet.

KILIÇDAROĞLU WOULD NEVER HAVE ACCEPTED IT ANYWAY

Barış Yarkadaş also made striking remarks regarding the stance of former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. Yarkadaş said, “Kılıçdaroğlu’s words do not target İmamoğlu and his colleagues. If he had an attitude against İmamoğlu, why would he go to visit him? Moreover, Mr. Kemal would never have accepted being a trustee anyway.”
