Yeniden Refah Party Chairman Fatih Erbakan harshly criticized the government at his party's 3rd Ordinary Congress in Çorum. Emphasizing that the government has remained passive regarding both economic hardships and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Erbakan stated that Turkey has become ineffective in the international arena and is unable to produce solutions to the people's problems. Erbakan stated that early elections should be held in 2026 because the government cannot rectify this situation.
In his speech, Fatih Erbakan also drew attention to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Stating that Turkey has been insufficient in delivering aid to Gaza, Erbakan said, "We are facing a government that cannot even deliver a slice of bread or a drop of water." Citing Spain's delivery of aid to Gaza as an example, Erbakan argued that Turkey has been late and ineffective in this regard.
Reminding that Spain has sent aid to Gaza by parachute and imposed trade restrictions on Israel, Erbakan asked why Turkey is hesitant to take the same steps. Asking, "Why can't you be as effective as Spain?" Erbakan emphasized that despite Turkey's claims of being a global power, it has not been able to send any concrete aid to Gaza.
REITERATED HIS CALL FOR THE KÜRECİK AND İNCİRLİK BASES
Criticizing Turkey's military cooperation with Israel, Erbakan said that the Kürecik and İncirlik bases should be closed. "We have such a large Turkish Armed Forces, we have helicopters, tanks, and UAVs that could help by flying, but we cannot send aid to Gaza," said Erbakan, stating that despite having a strong military infrastructure, Turkey remains ineffective in the international arena.
PREVENT AZERBAIJANI OIL FROM REACHING ISRAEL
Yeniden Refah Party Chairman Erbakan also said that they should prevent Azerbaijani oil from reaching Israel via Turkey. Reminding that Azerbaijani oil continues to be sent to Israel via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Pipeline, Erbakan stated that this pipeline should be shut down.
CALL FOR EARLY ELECTIONS
At the end of his speech, Erbakan called for early elections in 2026. "The greatest favor this government can do for the nation is to put the early election ballot box in front of the people in the spring of 2026," he said. Stating that Turkey needs to meet with a strong administration again, Erbakan expressed his belief that the country's economic and foreign policy problems would be solved once the Milli Görüş comes to power.
Governments only get by with bombastic rhetoric and condemnation messages, said Erbakan, "No one believes in the seriousness of this government anymore. Are there promises made behind closed doors? Why are you so hesitant?" he asked. He stated that the government is trying to get by only with condemnations and bombastic rhetoric. Are there promises made behind closed doors? THEY WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY AS A DARK STAIN
Erbakan said that the government, which has not taken any concrete steps against the massacre in Gaza, will go down in history as a dark stain. By saying, "You will go down in history as a government that did not take any concrete steps regarding Gaza," he criticized the government's ineffectiveness in the international arena and its indifference to the people's problems.
Fatih Erbakan stated that the government cannot produce solutions for the nation in either the economy or foreign policy, saying, "Things are not going well in Turkey. This administration, this government will not be able to offer any relieving solution to the nation."
