According to a report by Deniz Ayhan from Sözcü newspaper, the current value of the housing units in question is stated to be 63 million TL. Despite an eviction order and the Supreme Court of Appeals upholding this decision, Gökçek and his family have not vacated the premises.

THE HOUSING WAS SOLD VIA TENDER

During Gökçek's tenure in 2017, a tender was held for the sale of the municipal housing. It is alleged that the tender was won by Nevin Gökçek, the wife of the then-Mayor Gökçek, in violation of the law.

COURT RULED FOR THE RETURN OF THE HOUSING TO THE MUNICIPALITY

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) Mayor Mansur Yavaş filed a lawsuit regarding the sale of the housing units, citing irregularities. The court ruled that the housing units, which were sold for 7 million 900 thousand TL in 2018, should be returned to the municipality. Following the court's decision, the Supreme Court of Appeals upheld this ruling in July 2025.
