PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan held a meeting with his family members on June 7 for Eid al-Adha.
According to the report by the Mezopotamya Agency, DEM Party Şanlıurfa MP and Abdullah Öcalan's nephew, Ömer Öcalan, who was among those present at the meeting, shared the details of the conversation.
According to what Ömer Öcalan conveyed, Abdullah Öcalan said that the DEM Party should hold conferences and meetings everywhere.
Stating that many opportunities have arisen for the DEM Party to pursue an inclusive policy, Abdullah Öcalan said, "The DEM Party must reveal its potential in the Black Sea, the Mediterranean, and Central Anatolia. There is an economic crisis throughout Turkey, there is poverty. We have worker friends in many cities. The DEM Party should work for this. There is a crisis, the economy is bad, poverty is great, workers can no longer make ends meet. The DEM Party should focus on these issues and increase its strength everywhere."
"IF YOU REACH THE 20 PERCENT VOTE BAND..."
Saying, "The DEM Party's vote share must now increase in the Black Sea as well," Abdullah Öcalan used the following expressions:
"If you, as the DEM Party, reach the 20 percent vote band, you are the power in this country. You can change many things. You become a partner in power. For this, you need to turn your potential into votes. With democratic politics, the DEM Party's votes will exceed 20 percent. Then, a more effective policy can be pursued in the Middle East."
