President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who has closed the doors to calls for early elections, continues to fail to achieve the desired results in polls regarding the election agenda.
The latest research conducted by GÜNDEM-AR between February 23-26, 2026, showed that Erdoğan loses the election in all scenarios tested against Ekrem İmamoğlu, Mansur Yavaş, and Özgür Özel.
ERDOĞAN LOSES AGAINST ALL THREE DIFFERENT CANDIDATES
The research stated that there were three important rivals presented in different scenarios against President Erdoğan.
These names were listed as the imprisoned Ekrem İmamoğlu, Mansur Yavaş, and Özgür Özel.
The results revealed that Erdoğan loses the election against all three candidates. While İmamoğlu received 55.07 percent of the vote against Erdoğan, Erdoğan was able to receive 44.9 percent from the participants.
Another striking result of the survey was that Mansur Yavaş achieved the largest margin against President Erdoğan with 13.4 percent. Yavaş stood out with a high vote share against Erdoğan.
STATUS OF PARTIES IN GENERAL ELECTIONS
Another part of the research included results for the general elections. After the distribution of undecided voters, those who said they had no opinion, and protest votes, the CHP maintained its position as the leading party with 32.72 percent.
The AKP took second place with 29.85 percent. The vote shares of other parties were listed as follows:
DEM Party: 8.83 percent
Victory Party (Zafer Partisi): 5.50 percent
Key Party (Anahtar Parti): 5.40 percent
MHP: 5.31 percent
İYİ Party: 4.54 percent
New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi): 4.10 percent
Other Parties: 2.74 percent
TİP: 1.01 percent
