Pro-AKP columnists in revolt! 'Betrayal against Erdoğan'
As the opposition intensifies its stance against President Erdoğan, journalists Cem Küçük and Osman Diyadin, known for their proximity to the AKP, have lashed out at the silence of AKP deputies and officials.

At a time when criticism directed at President Erdoğan and AKP ministers is mounting, a debate over a noticeable silence in the public sphere has begun.
Criticism is emerging that the AKP camp is failing to provide an adequate response to opposition statements that are raising the public pulse, particularly alongside the political rhetoric, arrests, and candidacy processes that the CHP is escalating in waves.
While it is observed that CHP Chairman Özgür Özel is steering his party toward a more aggressive opposition position with his remarks in public squares that "we have the social and psychological superiority," the silence of AKP deputies and party officials during this process is facing harsh criticism even from within their own ranks.
Journalist Cem Küçük, known for his proximity to the government, attacked AKP deputies with harsh language in a column he wrote last week. Criticizing the lack of a defensive reflex within the party, especially while the opposition targets AKP ministers and officials, Küçük wrote:
“Why are AK Party members silent? There must be an answer to this. It is not 'cowardice.' It is not 'worry about what happens if the government changes tomorrow.' Then what is it? The authorized figures of the AK Party should think about this now. They might say, 'What is it to you?' They are right. What is it to us!.. But this silence is incomprehensible!”
“THIS IS A BETRAYAL OF ERDOĞAN”
Following Cem Küçük's outburst, another harsh criticism came from another pro-government journalist, Osman Diyadin. In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, he targeted the lack of reaction from a large portion of the AKP's deputies, mayors, and organizations.
“For the majority of AK Party deputies, officials, mayors, and organizations to ignore and remain silent in the face of the lies that CHP members consciously produce every day to provoke the nation is a betrayal of President Erdoğan!” Diyadin stated, emphasizing that this attitude is unacceptable.
