WHAT HAPPENED?
The Istanbul 45th Civil Court of First Instance, in a lawsuit filed for the cancellation of the CHP's 38th Ordinary Istanbul Provincial Congress held on October 8, 2023, removed Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik and his administration from office and appointed a 'trustee' in their place. Taking into account the "list for appointment as trustee in case of an injunction" submitted in the petition by the plaintiff Özlem Erkan, the court appointed former CHP deputy Gürsel Tekin to lead the administration.
