Pro-government columnist Cem Küçük's commentary on the post-Erdoğan era: New leaders will emerge

Türkiye columnist Cem Küçük made assessments regarding the future of Turkish politics in his column today. Providing examples from history, Küçük stated that politics should be shaped according to the needs of society, independent of individuals.

Küçük said, "Our fundamental need is to produce the new politics of the 21st century and to deliver solutions that respond to real needs to our people. Left-wing or revolutionary politics also do not attribute transcendent roles to actors; they analyze them within time and space and question their functions."

"THE TRANSCENDENT ROLE ATTRIBUTED TO ERDOĞAN IS NOT REALISTIC"

Cem Küçük argued that the role attributed to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is exaggerated and stated the following:

"The transcendent role attributed to Erdoğan today is not realistic. Tomorrow, when Erdoğan withdraws from the political stage, our politics will be like a fish out of water, just like with other leaders. But the productivity of right-wing politics will continue on its path with a new leader. New actors are already preparing themselves to step onto the stage."

"NEW LEADERS ARE PREPARING TO EMERGE"

Stating that if the current political cycle does not change, the same anger will be directed at new leaders, Küçük said, "If we do not break out of this vicious cycle, we will show the same reactions to the leader who emerges tomorrow."

Cem Küçük stated that the future of politics in Turkey must focus on solving social problems and continued his words as follows:

"Time is running out. We must place our politics on a real foundation. We are obliged to produce decisive policies by making concrete analyses of concrete situations. We must now abandon the comfort of the 70-year-old habit of constantly criticizing the right-wing/conservative leader while failing to fulfill political duties."
