Significant change in Party Assembly by Özgür Özel: 12 names missing from the key list
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel has made significant changes to the Party Assembly key list he announced following his re-election at the 21st Extraordinary Congress. While 12 names who served in the previous term were left off the list, notable new names and critical changes in assignments came to the fore.

Özgür Özel, who was re-elected as chairman at the 21st Extraordinary Congress of the Republican People's Party (CHP), made a significant change to the 60-person key list he created for the Party Assembly (PM). 12 names who served in the PM in the previous term did not find a place for themselves on the new list. This change gave strong signals regarding the staff structuring of the new era in the party.
12 NAMES FROM THE OLD STAFF LEFT OFF THE LIST
Names such as former CHP Group Deputy Chairman Engin Özkoç and Istanbul Deputy Mahmut Tanal were included in Özgür Özel's key list. At the same time, Namık Tan, who served as chief advisor to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu in the previous term, was also one of the names who found a place on the list.
In contrast, it was noted that 12 names currently serving in the Party Assembly were not on the list. Among the names not on the list are Youth Branch President Cem Aydın, PM Member Responsible for Overseas Organizations Mehmet Tüm, Hüseyin Yaşar, Orhan Sarıbal, Emin Umut Dikili, and Erbil Aydınlık.
İLHAN UZGEL AND VOLKAN DEMİR OFF THE LIST
The two most talked-about omissions were İlhan Uzgel and Volkan Demir, who served on the Central Executive Board (MYK). In his congress speech, Özgür Özel stated that Volkan Demir would move to the position of Secretary General of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB), and therefore he was not on the list.
Current PM members Müslim Sarı, Koza Yardımcı, and Orhan Sarıbal were nominated in this congress from the “Balance and Solidarity List” prepared by Istanbul Deputy Oğuz Kaan Salıcı. This was a remarkable sign of how groupings within the party were reflected in the congress.
SOME NAMES ARE ON ÖZEL'S LIST THIS TIME
Semra Dinçer, Ali Haydar Hakverdi, Saniye Barut, Deniz Yavuzyılmaz, and Aylin Nazlıaka, who managed to enter the PM by competing from Salıcı's list in the last congress, were included directly in Özgür Özel's key list this time. This change showed that Özel is in search of a new balance within the party.
With the reshaped PM list, signals that Özel will make changes in both the organizational structure and the party discourse were reflected in the political corridors.
