Strange primary election comment from Mustafa Varank: He completely misunderstood the issue!
Former Minister of Industry and Technology and AKP MP Mustafa Varank found the approximately 15 million votes cast in the CHP's primary election to determine its presidential candidate to be low. Varank stated, "Even Kılıçdaroğlu received 24 million votes against Erdoğan in the first round."

The CHP ensured that millions of citizens went to the polls in the historic primary election where Ekrem İmamoğlu's candidacy was determined. In addition to a total of over 1 million 700 thousand CHP members across Turkey, nearly 15 million people cast solidarity votes.
STRANGE STATEMENT FROM VARANK
However, AKP member Mustafa Varank found the election results, which the CHP announced as record participation, to be insufficient. In a post on his social media account, Varank targeted Özgür Özel and Ekrem İmamoğlu, using the following expressions:
"The Özgür Özel-Ekrem İmamoğlu duo is truly incredibly incompetent. While even Kılıçdaroğlu received 24 million votes against Erdoğan in the first round, they are rejoicing because they supposedly received 14 million votes in an election they entered as the only candidates."
WHAT DID İMAMOĞLU SAY?
İmamoğlu, on the other hand, said, "I want to share with you some news from Silivri Prison that made me very happy," and regarding the ballot box results, he stated: "A record level of participation took place in our Republican People's Party's presidential primary. 15 million of our citizens cast their votes. Tens of millions in this country, who have been hurt by the government's oppression, the ruined economy, incompetence, and lawlessness, rushed to the ballot boxes. They said 'enough is enough' to Erdoğan. I send my greetings to the millions shouting tonight in Saraçhane and in squares all across my country. That ballot box will come, and the nation will deal this government a slap it will never forget."
