MAJORITY SEES THE DECISION AS "JUDICIAL INTERVENTION"

In the research, participants were asked, "How do you evaluate the reinstatement of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and the former administration to office in the CHP by court order?"

59 percent of those who responded to this question evaluated the decision as "a judicial intervention in the internal affairs of the CHP."

33 percent of the participants expressed the view that the decision in question was "a legally correct decision that should be implemented."

The proportion of those who stated they had no opinion in the research was recorded as 8 percent.

Evaluating the research results, GÜNDEMAR Research Chairman Prof. Dr. Tamer Bolat stated that the decision is not seen merely as a legal matter by the public.

Bolat said, "This picture shows that the absolute nullity decision is not viewed solely as a legal ruling by the public. The majority of voters read the decision as a judicial intervention into the internal affairs of the CHP. In contrast, the view that the decision is legally correct stands out among AK Party and MHP voters. Therefore, the issue has turned into a legitimacy debate that is assigned different meanings according to political affiliations, beyond a legal discussion."

"LIMITED SUPPORT FOR KILIÇDAROĞLU"

Prof. Dr. Tamer Bolat also made evaluations regarding the tendencies of CHP voters.

Bolat stated, "When viewed from the perspective of CHP voters, the rate supporting Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's return to office is quite limited. The CHP base is taking a position more in favor of a new convention or the protection of Özgür Özel's political legitimacy."
