Video message claim had caused a crisis... New statement from the terrorist organization: 'Let him make the call, but...'
The alleged statement that terrorist organization PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan was to make to the organization has become a subject of debate. While Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç stated that a video call would not be permitted, the organization's so-called Executive Council President Bese Hozat said, 'He should definitely make the call, but he should not do it via video.'

New developments are taking place in the process following MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli's call regarding Öcalan. While a video message from Öcalan is awaited, the format of the statement Öcalan will make to his organization remains on the agenda.
The claim that Öcalan would release a video message was put forward the day before yesterday, but Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç closed the doors to a video statement, stating that this request was not in accordance with regulations.
Following Minister Tunç's statements, DEM Party Co-Chair Tülay Hatimoğulları had said that the information they received was also in the direction of a video statement. However, this process has turned into a crisis within the organization as well.
HARSH REACTION FROM KCK TO WRITTEN STATEMENT
Bese Hozat, the so-called Executive Council Chair of the terrorist organization, stated in a broadcast on the organization's television channel that they reject Öcalan making a written statement if he cannot make a video call. Hozat said the following:
"Let him make the call by all means, but do not let him do it via video; let him do it in writing, and let someone else read it on his behalf, not him! We strongly reject this. This would have no credibility. It would have no effect, how could such a thing be? This is an empty dream. Let no one indulge in such empty dreams. No one takes such unserious approaches seriously, and we will not take them seriously."
WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
A new 'opening' process began following MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli's call regarding Öcalan.
MHP Chairman Bahçeli, in his speech at his party's group meeting, had spoken regarding PKK terrorist organization leader Öcalan, saying, ''Let him come out and speak at the DEM Party group meeting. Let him announce that the PKK has been dissolved. As a result of this, let him benefit from the right to hope.''
Messages of support for this call by Bahçeli had come from the government and the DEM Party.
Within the scope of the new 'opening process' being carried out, a DEM Party delegation had conducted visits to İmralı and Northern Iraq.
As a result of the visits, it was claimed that a message would come from PKK terrorist organization leader Öcalan regarding the organization laying down its arms. However, the expected statement did not come.
