The handshake and conversation between President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and DEM Party deputy Sırrı Süreyya Önder at the iftar program held at the Turkish Grand National Assembly caused a major stir in public opinion. Pervin Buldan, who was part of the İmralı delegation, revealed the details of that meeting.

Speaking to Medya Haber TV, Buldan shared important information regarding the planned meeting between Erdoğan and the DEM delegation.

ERDOĞAN SAID 'WE HAVE SOME PREPARATIONS'

She stated that during the iftar, Erdoğan told Önder, "It would be better if we hold this meeting after the holiday. We can come together and sit down more comfortably after the holiday. Because we have some preparations." However, she noted that no clear information regarding the content of these preparations has been shared yet.

Pervin Buldan emphasized that the current process is at a critical stage, noting that calls for the terrorist organization PKK to lay down its arms and disband have not yet been supported by concrete steps. "As soon as concrete steps are taken, this call will resonate more and the process will gain momentum. We will discuss all of this with the President," she said.

THERE IS ALSO PREPARATION IN İMRALI

Buldan stated that the government is not only making preparations regarding the DEM Party, but is also planning some changes on İmralı Island.

Pervin Buldan said, "There is no clear explanation yet as to what stage these preparations are at, whether they are related to the judiciary, Mr. Öcalan's freedom and security conditions, or changes on İmralı Island. However, I can say that there is a preparation. It is important for society to be informed about this process."
