Yellow bag crisis in the Victory Party: Resignations follow one another
The Victory Party (Zafer Partisi) has seen a wave of resignations following a "yellow bag" social media post by its Istanbul Youth Branch after the passing of Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and DEM Party Istanbul MP Sırrı Süreyya Önder.

Sırrı Süreyya Önder passed away on May 5 at the hospital where he was taken following a heart condition. Following the news of his death, a "yellow bag"-themed post shared on the social media account of the Victory Party Istanbul Youth Branch sparked significant controversy.
ISTANBUL YOUTH BRANCH PRESIDENT DISMISSED
Following the post in question, the term of Ege İşleyene, the Victory Party Istanbul Youth Branch President, was terminated.
GENERAL YOUTH BRANCH PRESIDENT RESIGNED
Following these developments, Mustafa Can Küçük, the General President of the Victory Party Youth Branches, also announced his resignation. With Küçük's resignation, the dissolution that began within the youth organizations extended to the complete closure of some provincial organizations.
THREE PROVINCIAL YOUTH ORGANIZATIONS DISSOLVED
Following Mustafa Can Küçük's resignation, the Victory Party's Çorum, Tekirdağ, and Hatay Youth Branches also announced to the public that they had dissolved themselves through statements they issued.
The controversial post found repercussions not only within the party but also on the judicial front. Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç announced that an ex officio investigation had been launched into the Victory Party Istanbul Youth Branch due to the post made regarding the late Sırrı Süreyya Önder.
