Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Konya Deputy and member of the Parliamentary National Defense Commission, Konur Alp Koçak, has submitted a legislative proposal to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey that envisions amendments to the Passport Law.

The proposal envisions granting special stamped (green) passports, under certain conditions, to employees of companies affiliated with the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation, as well as to engineers, experts, and managers working in positions as prime contractors or system integrators in major defense projects carried out on behalf of the state, or at Ministry of National Defense subsidiaries MKE and ASFAT.

In his legislative amendment proposal, Koçak emphasized that the support provided to those working in the defense industry would make a significant contribution to Turkey's security and prestige. In a post on social media, Deputy Koçak stated, "Every investment made in national defense is an investment made in Turkey's independence and future."

15-YEAR SERVICE CRITERION

Another important detail highlighted in the proposal is the requirement that the experts, engineers, and managers who would benefit from the green passport right must have at least 15 years of seniority.

The purpose of this regulation is explained as facilitating the international activities of qualified employees working in the defense and aviation sectors and strengthening their international representation.

According to the proposal, these professional groups, which play a critical role in the state's strategic defense industry projects, will be provided with certain advantages; thus, it is aimed to increase the motivation of those working in the sector.
