Gürsel Tekin announces he will prepare a report: 'We will form a 40-person committee'

Gürsel Tekin, who was appointed as a trustee to the Republican People's Party (CHP) Provincial Presidency by court order, stated, "In the coming days, we will form a 40-person committee. We will select 39 district representatives from this 40-person committee to visit each district and hold one-on-one meetings with party members. We will compile all incoming complaints and suggestions into a report."

Gürsel Tekin, Zeki Şen, and Erkan Narsap held a meeting with party members at the CHP Istanbul Provincial Headquarters.

During the meeting, allegations of irregularities, suspicion, and corruption in the convention processes, which have recently become a subject of debate within the party, were discussed. Numerous members from the party base took the floor to convey the problems they have experienced, the shortcomings they have observed, and their suggestions for solutions.

Delivering a speech there, Gürsel Tekin said, "As a requirement of party democracy, ensuring that the will of every member is fully reflected in the ballot box is our most fundamental priority. We will meticulously monitor all processes to ensure that the mistakes of the past are not repeated. In the coming days, we will form a 40-person committee. We will select 39 district representatives from this 40-person committee to visit each district and hold one-on-one meetings with party members. TARGETED THE PARTY LEADERSHIP

Speaking about the operations regarding corruption allegations, Tekin also criticized the party leadership through contractors and company owners. Tekin criticized the party management by claiming that municipalities have not severed their ties with those referred to as confessors and slanderers.
