Remarkable statement from Gürsel Tekin: He signaled expulsions

As the debates following the 'absolute nullity' decision continue within the CHP, Gürsel Tekin, the former trustee of the party's Istanbul organization, made striking assessments.

Speaking to the Sabah newspaper, Tekin responded to criticisms regarding the absolute nullity process and shared his views on developments within the party and the legal process.

HE DEFENDED THE ABSOLUTE NULLITY PROCESS

Tekin opposed the 'trustee' criticisms directed at the committee appointed after the absolute nullity decision, arguing that the structure in question was established on a legal basis.

Claiming that the criticisms directed at them were unfair, Tekin stated that the committee that took office following the absolute nullity decision was legitimate.

CLAIM THAT "THE CHP ADMINISTRATION REQUESTED THE CALL COMMITTEE"

Gürsel Tekin alleged that the CHP administration had requested a call committee from the court in the past.

Arguing that the criticisms directed today are contradictory for this reason, Tekin said that the crisis within the party would be overcome over time.

CONGRESS AND DELEGATE DEBATE

Tekin also made assessments regarding the congress process.

Stating that various allegations regarding delegates have been brought to the agenda, Tekin argued that the congress could not be held with the current delegate structure.

MESSAGE THAT EXPULSIONS MAY BE ON THE AGENDA

Drawing attention to the party charter, Tekin argued that disciplinary mechanisms should be operated against individuals associated with corruption and disgraceful crimes in judicial processes.

Tekin claimed that the CHP would lead a "purification" process not only within itself but across the country.

CRITICISM OF ÖZGÜR ÖZEL AND EKREM İMAMOĞLU

Criticizing CHP Chairman Özgür Özel in his statements, Tekin referred to the past political relations between Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, Özgür Özel, and Ekrem İmamoğlu.

Tekin also evaluated the criticisms directed at Kılıçdaroğlu in recent times.

CLAIM THAT "THE AK PARTY HAS NO CONNECTION TO THIS PROCESS"

Touching upon the allegations that the AK Party played a role in the absolute nullity process, Tekin said he did not agree with this view.

Arguing that the lawsuit was filed as a result of applications by CHP members, Tekin rejected assessments that the AK Party had any influence on the process.

"IF THEY PRODUCE A DOCUMENT, I WILL LEAVE THIS COUNTRY"

Gürsel Tekin used the following expressions in his statement:

"I am saying it clearly and plainly: The AK Party has no connection whatsoever, near or far, to this process. We cannot have the slightest relationship with this scheme either. If they produce a single concrete document, I will leave this country."
