Hakan Fidan's response to Trump: 'Forced displacement of Palestinians is unacceptable'

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan appeared as a guest on the Palestine-based Palestine TV, where he made significant assessments regarding the ceasefire process in Gaza, US President Donald Trump's statements, and Israel's policies in the region.

Speaking on Trump's remarks regarding the forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza, Fidan stated, "The forced displacement of Palestinians is unacceptable. We do not believe such proposals should be taken seriously."

"The Two-State Solution is the Most Supported Project"

Emphasizing that the international community has a broad consensus on the two-state solution, Fidan said, "There is no other political project in the world that is more supported than the two-state solution. However, unfortunately, this project cannot be implemented in practice."

"The Only Power That Can Stop Netanyahu is the International Community"

Responding to a question about whether the ceasefire in Gaza is sustainable, Fidan drew attention to the stance of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, stating, "The only thing that will stop Netanyahu is for the international community to adopt a realistic stance that isolates Israel."

"Israel Has the Unconditional Support of the US"

Stating that Israel's aggressive policies are supported by the US and some Western countries, Fidan said, "We are witnessing those who hold power shedding blood without regard for rights or law. This is clearly a 'law of the jungle' mentality."

"Our Efforts to Protect the Identity of Jerusalem Continue"

Touching upon Turkey's diplomatic efforts to protect the historical and religious identity of Jerusalem, Fidan said, "Jerusalem is the symbol of the Palestinian cause. We never accept the games being played here or the attempts to Judaize Jerusalem."

"I Am Ready to Visit Palestine"

Stating that he is ready to go to Palestine if conditions are appropriate, Fidan said, "As long as a permanent solution is not found, there is a risk of a new war breaking out in the region at any moment. Therefore, we will continue to keep the two-state solution on the agenda at every opportunity."
