Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who returned to the post of CHP Chairman following a court ruling of "absolute nullity," delivered a speech at his party's headquarters. Instead of attending the parliamentary group meeting, Kılıçdaroğlu appeared before the cameras at the headquarters.

Kılıçdaroğlu had announced that he would take the podium at 14:00. However, as CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's group meeting speech ran until 14:20, Kılıçdaroğlu made his statement after Özel had left the podium.

One of the main topics of his speech was Halk TV and the channel's chairman of the board, Cafer Mahiroğlu. Kılıçdaroğlu leveled criticisms regarding the ownership of television channels and the use of media power.

Kılıçdaroğlu's remarks included the following statements:

"There are owners of some television channels whose owners are in London and who do not dare to come to Turkey. Just as delegates are bought and sold with money, television channels should not be bought and sold with money. I will put a stop to that too, I will put a stop to that too."

Furthermore, emphasizing that they would continue the struggle together and in solidarity, Kılıçdaroğlu continued as follows:

"We will change this order, we will change it! Rest assured, we will change this order. But while we are struggling, while we are fighting for rights, we must be together. We must be shoulder to shoulder. There are owners of some television channels whose owners are in London and who do not dare to come to Turkey. Just as delegates are bought and sold with money, television channels should not be bought and sold with money. I will put a stop to that too, I will put a stop to that too... We will conduct our struggle within this framework. We will do it for the unity of the family, for its peace. We will struggle together. If we do not do this, we will face problems."

Kılıçdaroğlu's words were closely followed in terms of media ownership and his call for intra-party unity.
