Kürşad Zorlu, who served as party spokesperson during the Meral Akşener era in the İYİ Party, has joined the AKP. At the AKP Extraordinary Ankara Congress held yesterday, Zorlu was presented with his party pin by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Kürşad Zorlu's joining of the AKP drew a reaction from AKP-aligned troll Furkan Bölükbaşı, with whom he had previously clashed on social media.
In a dispute that took place approximately 5 months ago, Zorlu had responded to a post by Bölükbaşı with the phrase "Shoo, dog."
Following Zorlu's transition to the AKP, Bölükbaşı reacted to him on social media with the following words:
"We said come, and you came. From now on, you will stand when we say stand. You will sit when we say sit. You will speak when we say speak. You will be silent when we say be silent."
