Harsh criticism from Ekrem İmamoğlu to Erdoğan from Silivri: 'Have the indictment written immediately'

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is being held at the Marmara Prison in Silivri, expressed his criticisms of AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan in a message sent to the CHP rally in Esenler. İmamoğlu's message was read by CHP Istanbul Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik.

In his message, İmamoğlu emphasized the importance of justice, stating, "No one can make us kneel. However, injustice destroys us. Justice is currently under attack by Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The injustices Erdoğan has created in the economy and the judiciary are harming society and shaking trust in the state."

CALL FOR AN INDICTMENT

Stating that Erdoğan is inventing an "octopus fairy tale," İmamoğlu said, "Soon he will declare everyone who does not vote for him a member of a criminal organization.

I have been a mayor for 11 years and I am under the supervision of administrative authorities.

Did you only realize I was a criminal organization leader when I stood against you as a presidential candidate? Stop telling fairy tales, give the information you have to the prosecutor's office and have the indictment written. Let the indictment be written immediately so the nation can see the truth," he said.

İmamoğlu also touched upon issues such as the cancellation of his diploma and being blocked on social media, saying, "These are the actions of a handful of people devoid of conscience. With these attitudes, they are trying to polarize society. However, we will protect our unity and brotherhood."

Finally, İmamoğlu concluded his message by saying, "We will continue to do politics for the good of everyone. A handful of people will lose, the brotherhood of 86 million will win. Everything will be very beautiful."
