Harsh criticism from Lütfü Savaş to Ekrem İmamoğlu: 'You couldn't even pass the ÖSYM exam...'

HE HAD FILED A CRIMINAL COMPLAINT REGARDING THE 'DUBIOUS CONVENTION'

Former Hatay Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Lütfü Savaş filed a criminal complaint today against CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.

'İMAMOĞLU DID NOT WANT ME TO BE A CANDIDATE'

Bombarding Ekrem İmamoğlu over the fake diploma investigation during a live broadcast program he attended, Savaş stated the following:

"Ekrem İmamoğlu did not want me to be nominated. A meeting was held at the headquarters during the candidate determination process, and Ekrem İmamoğlu's pollster said I was low in the polls. I said, 'If you are not going to make me a candidate, I will run as an independent.'"

'HE SAYS HE WILL BE PRESIDENT WITHOUT HAVING PASSED THE ÖSYM EXAM'

"People are talking about your diploma. You both say you will be a presidential candidate and you haven't passed the ÖSYM exam conducted by the Republic of Turkey. You cannot speak in front of me. If you talk about careers, my career is far superior."

On the Taksim Meydanı program broadcast on TGRT Haber, journalist Nuray Babacan reported that Lütfü Savaş told her, "We saw these as rumors before every convention. But when the President and Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu said there was a 'cloud of suspicion,' it turned into something else. It is the duty of every CHP member to rid the party of this suspicion. I am fulfilling this duty."
