Harsh message from Özgür Özel! 'Beştepe is the headquarters of the March 19 coup attempt'

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, in his speech at the Kuşadası Municipality mass opening ceremony, described the events of March 19 as a "political coup attempt" and stated that the center of this process is Beştepe. Stating that no concrete file has been presented in the 57 days since the investigation into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality began, Özel accused the government of a politics of lies and slander. Criticizing President Erdoğan over İlker Başbuğ, Özel emphasized that he follows in the footsteps of Atatürk. Calling for unity and solidarity in his speech, the CHP leader announced that a demonstration for freedom will be held at Gündoğdu Square in İzmir on May 19.

I am not one of those who sacrifice İlker Başbuğ like you; I am sitting in the seat of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who stood behind his soldiers.

He accused the CHP of 'being putschist' and attempting a coup by referencing the late Adnan Menderes in warm halls where those he appointed applauded him, unable to digest the actions of democracy lovers who left his desire to appoint a trustee to Saraçhane and the İBB in his throat and fought against this coup.
