Harsh reaction from Babacan to Erdoğan! 'Turkey is being destroyed by Erdoğan's hand'

DEVA Party Chairman Ali Babacan evaluated the remarks made by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during his party's group meeting yesterday, where he said, "The ancients used to say, 'It was a tuft of grass that sent the goat off the cliff.' Let's see how many more CHP members will be destroyed in the political whirlpool on the path to presidential ambition?"

"TURKEY IS BEING DESTROYED BY MR. ERDOĞAN'S OWN HAND"

Babacan stated the following:

"This word 'destroyed' is perhaps a revelation of how Mr. Erdoğan positions his political rivals in his own mental world. It is very shameful; such words do not befit the president of a country. It is understood that Mr. Erdoğan is planning to go to the elections by eliminating his political rivals one by one—some through the judiciary, some by throwing mud with slanders, and some through media blackouts. This is not called democracy. If there is something being destroyed in Turkey, it is this: Turkey is being destroyed by Mr. Erdoğan's own hand; the rule of law is being destroyed."
