Harsh reaction from Ekrem İmamoğlu to Burcu Köksal! 'Either she will find herself another job or...'

Continuing his local election campaign, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu attended the opening of the Bakırköy Freedom Square Landscaping project.

Speaking at the event, İmamoğlu made statements regarding the current agenda.

REACTION FROM İMAMOĞLU TO KÖKSAL

Reacting to the remarks made by CHP Afyonkarahisar Mayoral Candidate Burcu Köksal regarding the DEM Party, İmamoğlu stated, "I am a member of the CHP, but I serve not just this party or these party members; I serve every person in this city, from every political view. Anyone who says, 'If I become mayor, I will not hire members of this party, I will only meet with those excluding these parties,' will either have to find themselves another job or find another party."

İmamoğlu continued as follows:

"There is no such thing. We do not discriminate against people, my friend. You know how some people come out and say 'traitor, terrorist.' Remember, they said the metropolitan municipality was full of terrorists! This is the same mindset as those who say that. There is no such thing!"

WHAT DID BURCU KÖKSAL SAY?

CHP Afyonkarahisar Mayoral Candidate Burcu Köksal had said, "When I am elected, the doors of the Afyonkarahisar Municipality will be open to every political party except the DEM Party," prior to the opening of the election coordination center, which was also attended by CHP leader Özgür Özel.

While CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, speaking in Uşak, said "It was a slip of the tongue," Burcu Köksal, speaking to Barış Yarkadaş from TV100, stated, "I did not speak as a result of a slip of the tongue, but based on a promise I made."
