Harsh reaction from Mansur Yavaş following the detention order for İmamoğlu! 'It is possible they could take me too!'
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş made assessments on Sözcü TV following the detention of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu. Yavaş stated that the detention operation was a political move and emphasized that they would continue to resist the lawlessness in the country.

'POLITICAL OPERATION'
Appearing as a guest on the Para Politika program hosted by Özlem Gürses on Sözcü TV, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş reacted to the detention of IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, stating, "When this operation happens the day after the diploma is cancelled, everyone will think it is a political operation. Ekrem President has had investigations opened against him before and has been called to testify. Ekrem Bey could have been invited; it is not right to carry out a detention in this manner."
'WILL THEY COME FOR YOU NEXT?'
Yavaş responded to Gürses' question, 'Will they come for you next?' as follows:
"Whether related to me or not, 109 petitions have been filed. 101 of them were closed. Expert examinations are ongoing in 8 files. We are not afraid in any way. Instead of engaging in a normal political struggle, they are tripping up their opponent. Anything can happen in our country, everything is possible. We will resist everything done unlawfully. We will not bow down."
