It has been determined where the "The Nation Protects Its Will" rallies, organized by the Republican People's Party in a different city each week following the arrest of Ekrem İmamoğlu and several mayors, will continue. The CHP will hold its next major gathering in Hatay on Saturday, January 17.

The rallies, which began with the detention of Ekrem İmamoğlu on March 19, 2025, as part of an investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, are being held in an organized manner across the country.

CHP İstanbul Deputy Suat Özçağdaş announced the new location of the rally in a statement on his social media account, using the following expressions:

"We are meeting in Hatay, the city of civilizations, which was the personal cause of our Republic's founder, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

We will re-establish justice, equality, and brotherly sharing in these lands!

We will fight shoulder to shoulder all across Turkey; we will not surrender to fear, lawlessness, or injustice.

We will change this dark order and establish the people's government together with the people!"
