Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli appeared at his party's group meeting today wearing the pin of his new team, Karagümrük, ahead of the critical potential championship match between Fatih Karagümrük and Galatasaray to be played this weekend.

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli had previously described the "government resign" chants during earthquake protests in the stands at the Fenerbahçe-Konyaspor match played in the Süper Lig last season as "irresponsibility and lack of consciousness," and subsequently resigned from his Beşiktaş membership following similar "resign" chants during the Beşiktaş-Antalyaspor match played in the same season.
In his statement, he said, "The systematic disrespect shown to our earthquake martyrs during the match did not befit Beşiktaş and the national and spiritual values that Beşiktaş carries."
