He had incited the attack on Sinan Ateş's sister, Selma Ateş: He broke his electronic tag and murdered his wife and his lover!

Servet Bozkurt, who incited the attack on Selma Ateş, the sister of former Ülkü Ocakları Chairman Sinan Ateş, who lost his life in an armed attack the previous year, has committed two murders while under house arrest and wearing an electronic tag. 

Servet Bozkurt, who was the instigator of the attempted attack on Ateş's mother and sister during the latest hearing of the Sinan Ateş murder trial, had been placed under house arrest.

According to the report by Halk TV columnist İsmail Saymaz, the assailant Servet Bozkurt stabbed his wife and his lover to death and went on the run after breaking his electronic tag. It was stated that Bozkurt is being sought.

Speaking to Can Uğur from Cumhuriyet, sister Selma Ateş emphasized that the attacks against them are endless.

Selma Ateş said the following:

We have stated many times that our safety is not guaranteed. They attacked us in İzmir while I was in a vehicle with my child, they drove their vehicle at us, and they threw things at my home's windows. I was followed in Bursa. My car was scratched in Sincan, Ankara. Finally, I was attacked at the Courthouse.

'PEOPLE WHO TARGET THEIR OWN FORMER CHAIRMAN...'

"I still do not understand how they could attempt such a murder in the capital of Turkey. I expect everything from people who target their own fellow idealists and their own former chairman in the safest place in Turkey. 

Throughout the process, they did everything they could to us just because we want justice for Sinan Ateş. They threatened us from social media platforms with fake accounts, they insulted us, they swore at us, and they even dared to attack our honor and dignity."

"THEY JUST WATCHED... "

"And unfortunately, all of Turkey and our country's judicial authorities just watched these things. If these people had been held accountable for their actions in time, my brother would be alive today. We are anxious, we are worried, but I am never afraid. 

I will not give up on my brother's case until the end. I will continue the struggle until everyone who planned, incited, or had the slightest involvement in the Sinan Ateş murder receives the punishment they deserve."

Selma Ateş continued as follows:

"We want the public to see and know that the people we are facing are extremely dangerous. We are not making hypothetical scenarios; we are trying to continue our struggle while in great danger and quite unprotected. Considering the murders committed today, the perpetrators, and the instigators, it can be considered a consolation that the attack that took place on the day of the hearing did not have much more dire consequences. Because the results of what we have experienced in plain sight have become increasingly unbearable; we urgently request that our state take the necessary measures in this regard."

'MAY THE FIRE NOT ONLY BURN WHERE IT FALLS'

Selma Ateş concluded her words with the following statements:

"I want to remind the Turkish society and especially the authorities of this. It should not be forgotten that every crime that goes unpunished makes the perpetrator even more brazen.  Every offense for which no one is held accountable invites new atrocities. We no longer want to watch intellectuals, journalists, and scientists being slaughtered and killed in the middle of the street in this society. Please let us be socially sensitive and show our reaction. A child of the homeland, an intellectual, is not raised easily.  May the fire not only burn where it falls."
