While making statements regarding his election promises for Istanbul, Kurum also shared the results of the latest election poll on his desk.

According to the report by Sözcü, while answering questions from members of the press, Kurum stated that they have moved ahead of Ekrem İmamoğlu in the latest polls. Kurum said, “In the first polls after my candidacy was announced, we were 2 points behind İmamoğlu. However, in the latest polls, we appear to be 1.4 points ahead.”

COMMENT ON BAŞAK DEMİRTAŞ

Murat Kurum evaluated the DEM Party's decision not to nominate Başak Demirtaş by saying, “Why did she make this decision today when she was enthusiastic yesterday? Is there a bargain involved? Did she receive pressure or instructions? The people of Istanbul gave their answer on May 28 to the alliance pointed to by the separatist terrorist organization, and they will give their answer on March 31 as well.” Kurum also mentioned that İmamoğlu had called him to wish him ‘good luck’ for his candidacy.
