In the Şehzadeler district of Manisa, Ahmet Karadağ, who was nominated as the mayoral candidate by the IYI Party in 2024, has decided to continue his political journey with the AKP. His joining the party was announced at a ceremony, where a total of 612 people, including Karadağ, became members of the AKP.
AKP Manisa Deputy Tamer Akkal, in his statement at the participation ceremony, addressed Karadağ and the other new members, saying:
"I welcome all our citizens, especially my esteemed brother Ahmet Karadağ, who have joined our party today to strengthen this great cause, and I wish their membership to be auspicious."
The switch to the AKP by Karadağ, who competed on behalf of the IYI Party in the previous elections, has led to political activity in the Şehzadeler district. Party officials expect this participation to give new momentum to the AKP both in the district and across Manisa. The badges of the new AKP members were presented during the ceremony.
