Speaking on the program Orta Sayfa on Fox TV, journalist Deniz Zeyrek stated that he had seen it with his own eyes and claimed that "back-channel diplomacy has begun between HEDEP and the AKP."
''TWO HEDEP EXECUTIVES WENT TO THE MEETING''
Zeyrek used the following expressions: "Don't mind them criticizing [the AKP] for sending greetings to Demirtaş. I saw it with my own eyes. Two highly influential executives got into the same car and went to meet with a figure from the ruling party. They went to a location determined by the AKP figure and met outside."
''HEDEP IS DEMANDING A PROTOCOL''
Zeyrek's statement is as follows:
“Back-channel diplomacy has begun between the AKP and HEDEP. I saw with my own eyes that 2 HEDEP executives went to meet with a figure from the ruling party. Because they do not trust them, HEDEP wants a written protocol, but the AKP side does not want to provide one. If such a thing were to happen, like the protocol Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu made with Ümit Özdağ... Devlet Bahçeli would leave the People's Alliance at that moment. I also don't find it very sincere; on one hand, you try to hit the CHP with this, and on the other hand, you hold meetings with HEDEP and criticize the CHP...”
