HEDEP Spokesperson Ayşegül Doğan announced the local election decision reached at her party's Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting. Doğan stated that a tendency has emerged to enter the local elections with their own candidates everywhere in Turkey.

"OUR PREPARATIONS ARE COMPLETE"
Doğan included the following statements in her announcement:
“A tendency has emerged to enter the local elections with our own candidates everywhere in Turkey. This decision will be evaluated by the Party Assembly (PM). We had previously announced that applications for candidate nominations in places where we are the first or second party began on November 27 and will continue until December 10. Our commissions have also been established in the western provinces. We have started receiving candidate applications. In other words, our preparations to enter the local elections with our own candidates everywhere in Turkey are complete.”
