HEDEP sends message on alliance for local elections!

The Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (HEDEP) Local Governments Board's Democratic Local Governments Conference has begun in Ankara.
Speaking at the conference, HEDEP Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan made statements regarding the roadmap his party will follow in the local elections.
"We should not constantly be in the position of being the ones who make others lose at the local level," said Bakırhan, adding, "After so much price paid and effort exerted, we want our will to be reflected in the administrations everywhere we are present."
"WE ARE OPEN TO ALLIANCES IN THE WEST"
Addressing the issue of alliances in his speech, Bakırhan said the following:
"They said that instead of being in a position of winning in the region and making others lose in the west, we should be in a position of winning both in the region and in the west. We are repeating the same thing. In the coming period, we will first and foremost liberate the municipalities where trustees were appointed. Again, due to the AKP's poor management, we will take back the municipalities they have been governing. In all cities where we come in first or second, we will field our own candidates with the broadest consensus, together with the most inclusive co-mayoral candidates, and municipal and provincial general assembly candidates.
As for the West, I would like to share this with the public in your presence: I want to state here that we are open to alliances. No conversation, work, or decision we make with the forces we will form an alliance with will be without your knowledge; we will share it with you."
"OUR PREPARATIONS FOR THE 3RD WAY ARE ALSO COMPLETE"
Bakırhan added a "caveat" to his alliance strategies in the continuation of his words:
"This should not mean that we will definitely take part in any alliance. If alliances that do not serve the interests of our people, our peoples, and our laborers are imposed upon us, we are not without options. We have completed our preparations to implement our 3rd Way politics in the local elections with our best and strongest candidates.
We have said it many times; we will have our local government candidates to be elected in the new period pass through the approval of our people. It could be through a ballot box committee or through the voting of designated delegates. In other words, let us state once again here that we will enter the upcoming elections with candidates that the people propose and want in one form or another."
