HKP files criminal complaint against ministers and KYK officials
The People's Liberation Party (HKP) has filed a criminal complaint against officials regarding the elevator accident that caused the death of Zeren Ertaş.

Zeren Ertaş, a 4th-year student in the Department of Public Finance at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Aydın Adnan Menderes University, lost her life after an elevator malfunctioned and fell at the KYK Güzelhisar Girls' Dormitory, located on Kültür Boulevard in the Işıklı neighborhood of Aydın.
CRIMINAL COMPLAINT FILED
Lawyers for the People's Liberation Party (HKP) filed a criminal complaint with the Aydın Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, KYK General Manager Recep Ali Er, KYK Deputy General Managers Haluk Tayyib Yetim, Mustafa Özgül, and Ali Özdemir, the director and deputy directors of the Aydın/Güzelhisar KYK, and the officials of the elevator company.
FIVE SEPARATE CRIMES BROUGHT TO THE JUDICIARY
In the petition, HKP lawyers stated that the individuals named had committed the crimes of "intentional killing by omission," "intentional injury by omission," "misconduct in office," "intentional endangerment of general safety," and "neglect of supervisory duty."
