In the relevant section of his column today, Selvi used the following expressions:
"Meral Akşener calling to congratulate Özgür Özel after the party congress, and the hopeful statements made by Özgür Özel and Ekrem İmamoğlu regarding an alliance with the IYI Party, had caused eyes to turn toward Akşener.
Meral Akşener's words, 'From now on, we will not vouch for anyone but ourselves,' were interpreted as closing the doors to an alliance with the CHP. Akşener's words do not express a positive approach regarding an alliance. However, Özgür Özel has not yet visited Akşener. The CHP has not yet made a proposal to the IYI Party. Therefore, these interpretations may be premature assessments.
