İmamoğlu's message to youth on 'emigration'! 'We will put an end to this collapse'

Noting that issues such as education, the economy, and injustice are pushing young people toward hopelessness, İmamoğlu declared, "We will provide our youth with reasons to live in this country again."

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor and CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, who has been detained at Silivri Prison for approximately 3 months, listed the reasons behind the trend of young people moving abroad in a statement on his social media account, saying, “We will put an end to this collapse.”
Emphasizing that problems in many areas from education to justice are pushing young people toward hopelessness, İmamoğlu stated, “We will give our youth reasons to live, work, and produce in this beautiful country.”

İmamoğlu stated that the environment of insecurity in the country is leading young people to seek their futures in other countries. He expressed that economic opportunities in Turkey only benefit a small minority, that education and academia are in decline, and that unemployment has reached serious dimensions. He also noted that the cost of living and injustices are increasing day by day.
"CAN THERE BE A GREATER SURVIVAL PROBLEM?"
İmamoğlu recalled that 14-year-old students who ranked at the top of the High School Entrance Exam (LGS) have received full scholarships from the world's best universities before even completing their high school education, and that they do not even feel the need to take the university entrance exam in Turkey. “We are losing these high school students who are the brains of Turkey. Can there be a greater survival problem for a country than this?” he asked.
Stating that the current order provides no benefit to anyone other than a handful of minorities, İmamoğlu expressed that this collapse will come to an end and that young people will once again want to live, produce, and work in this country. He concluded his words by saying, “We trust in the talent, determination, and diligence of our youth. They, too, will trust in this country.”
