IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu spoke at Bulgur Palas, where the restoration has been completed.

Highlights from İmamoğlu's speech are as follows:

"WE ARE OPENING IT TO ISTANBULITES"

"Protecting history is a necessity of being human and being a nation. Istanbul's history and heritage have not been treated with care. The IMM Heritage (İBB Miras) unit we established is doing tremendous work in protecting Istanbul's history. We are opening Istanbul's public historical areas and structures not to individuals, but to all Istanbulites. Bulgur Palas is one of the best examples of this. The transformations of Yedikule Gasworks, Müze Gazhane in Kadıköy, and Bulgur Palas have been magnificent. KİPTAŞ put in great effort in the acquisition and transformation of the Bulgur Palas property. I thank KİPTAŞ, our other subsidiaries, and everyone who worked on this.

Bulgur Palas has become an important example showing the difference between the previous administration and us.

"WHAT THEY COULD NOT DO IN 25 YEARS..."

Before us, Istanbul's public historical areas and structures were given to the use of certain individuals, privileged associations, and foundations. We are offering all neglected private properties to the service of Istanbulites.

They are comparing Istanbul's 5 years with 25 years. Let them compare. We achieved in 5 years what they could not do in 25."
