İmamoğlu to Kurum: Apologize to the nation

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu reacted to the remarks made by AKP's Istanbul candidate Murat Kurum regarding the City Restaurants during the 'Esenyurt Project Launch'.

IMM Mayor İmamoğlu said, "It weighed so heavily on me. I couldn't sleep, I was upset. It didn't weigh on me because he criticized this service I provided, but it weighed on me because how can a mayoral candidate not feel the cost-of-living crisis that millions of people are suffering through? And he has the nerve to come and run for Istanbul; mind your own business."

IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu asked, "Are citizens standing in line for sport?" regarding the remarks of his AKP rival Murat Kurum criticizing the City Restaurants. Stating that the public's misery and poverty in queues were being mocked, İmamoğlu said, "You will be held accountable for this shamelessness. May God give you a conscience, may He give you wisdom." İmamoğlu told his rival to "apologize to the nation" for this approach.
