Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor and Republican People's Party (CHP) presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is currently imprisoned at Silivri Prison, issued a call for support for his party's Chairman, Özgür Özel, via social media. In his post, İmamoğlu also addressed the youth, highlighting the importance of social solidarity.

In the message sent by İmamoğlu, concepts such as justice, meritocracy, and freedom were underscored. In his call, where he tagged CHP leader Özgür Özel, he invited all party members and young people to act together.

Here is İmamoğlu's statement:

"In societies where justice, law, and fairness have ended, and hope for the future has been exhausted, the enthusiasm for existence begins to collapse. Because people do not trust the future, they hesitate to start families, fertility rates drop, generations dwindle, and the nation is dragged into an internal extinction and erosion.

Young people, who have lost their hope in the grip of incompetence, flee their state, and one of the greatest risks, brain drain, begins. When reason is exiled, the order of the state collapses, and the field is left to a handful of incompetent, ambitious people and sycophants.

This is exactly what is happening in our beautiful country today.

Dear young people,

This march is a march of justice, merit, freedom, and the future.

It is a march of abundance, prosperity, peace, love, and 86 million people.

Let us all walk together, together with our Chairman Özgür Özel, friends."
