Important message from İmamoğlu before Ankara visit: 'No one will be able to stop it'

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor and CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu made statements at the opening of a forest park in Sancaktepe.

Ekrem İmamoğlu included the following remarks in his statement: 

Every person in this heavenly homeland, regardless of their ethnic origin, is our equal citizen. 'Keep the people alive so that the state may live' is a noble legacy entrusted to us. These words should guide us; 'Peace at home, peace in the world' is a very powerful legacy entrusted to us. It never goes out of date. Protecting and preserving these principles will solve all the problems of this dear country of ours. As soon as I heard about this beautiful service, I joined Mayor Alper for the opening. 

JEALOUSY IS A BAD THING

Of course, while describing all these good deeds, from the subways we are proud to offer to our Istanbul to our nurseries, from our city restaurants to our social support programs. Look, one can compete in the journey of service, but there is nothing as shameful as the part where one tries to hinder the other in that race. I have never been jealous of anyone; I have competed with the good. Jealousy is a bad thing; jealousy can turn into ambition and greed. Especially in serving the public, can there be jealousy? Can there be mutual obstruction? For example, the economy is bad, retirees are suffering, and I am experiencing how the scholarship opportunities we provide have brought relief to students' hearts. But do you know what I want? I wish the government were successful in the economy. I wish they would make a strong move and improve the economy. Would anyone want the economy to be bad? This country's justice, economy, and merit system will be good, and we will compete in doing good. 

I HAVE SET OUT FOR THE PRESIDENCY, NO ONE WILL BE ABLE TO STOP IT

To create a country where all these beautiful feelings I mentioned, a management system that prioritizes its people, empowers its people, and where a leader is responsible to the citizens, this brother of yours has set out on the path to the presidency with your approval in a determined manner, and no one will be able to stop it. God is my witness, and you be my witnesses too. I am saying it in Sancaktepe and everywhere else. I will not distinguish one servant of God from another, and my fellow travelers will say that I am happy and proud to be a fellow traveler of such a fair person.

WE ARE NOT AFRAID, WE ARE SIMPLY CALLING FOR THE BALLOT BOX

Dear friends... Let me say this: they will trip Ekrem up, they will hinder Ekrem, they will do this or that to Ekrem; not even a single hair on my head is trembling. Cowards struggle to intimidate; we are not afraid, and we are not intimidating anyone either; we are simply calling for the ballot box. Come, let us settle our accounts honorably.
