Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, in his evaluation of the June 2025 inflation data announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), stated that the economic program has begun to yield results.
Sharing on the social media platform X, Şimşek emphasized that inflation in June was 1.37 percent, while noting that the annual rate has declined to 35 percent.
“THERE IS ALSO A DECLINE IN SERVICES INFLATION”
Stating that services inflation, which has remained high for three years, has also changed direction, Şimşek said, “Annual inflation in services has fallen below 50 percent for the first time in three years.”
“OUR DETERMINATION IN DISINFLATION WILL CONTINUE”
Underlining his determination in the fight against inflation, Minister Şimşek said:
“Our determination in the disinflation process has become evident in both the realized data and expectations.”
