Instructions given to organizations: CHP's move toward IYI Party following alliance decision!
It is alleged that the CHP, whose proposal for cooperation in the local elections was rejected by the IYI Party, has instructed its organizations to remain in contact with the IYI Party base.

Turkey will head to the polls for local elections on March 31, 2024.
The IYI Party General Administrative Board (GİK) rejected CHP's cooperation proposal by a majority vote.
With the possibility of an alliance completely eliminated, the CHP has accelerated its election efforts. CHP members of parliament will meet with prospective candidates in their constituencies and gauge the pulse of the voters.
According to a report by Mustafa Bildircin from Birgün; the CHP has instructed its organizations to remain in contact with the IYI Party's base. The messages of CHP leader Özgür Özel, who addressed his organization at his party's group meeting with the message, “Members of the IYI Party are good people,” will also be conveyed to the IYI Party base.
DISCOMFORT IN CHP OVER AKŞENER VISIT
On the other hand, within the CHP, there is talk of discomfort among the base regarding the fact that IYI Party leader Meral Akşener did not pay a congratulatory visit after Özgür Özel took the seat of CHP Chairman. Party sources state, “Our base criticizes us for going there before Meral Hanım comes to pay a congratulatory visit to our Chairman.”
MEETING WITH HEDEP EXPECTED
The CHP, which is preparing to contact the IYI Party base through its organizations, is also expected to meet with HEDEP, which has not closed its doors to cooperation. Noting that HEDEP is the most political party in Turkey, CHP members assess, “For this reason, we attach importance to meeting with the HEDEP administration.”
The HEDEP front, meanwhile, is warm to local cooperation with the CHP. In HEDEP, which has not closed its doors to a possible alliance and has given the message, “We are ready to talk to everyone,” assessments are being made that, “CHP Chairman Özgür Özel is making the most courageous statements regarding the Kurdish issue.”
IYI PARTY'S POLL CLAIM
Following the IYI Party General Administrative Board (GİK) meeting, where the decision to reject cooperation with the CHP in the local elections was made, all eyes have turned to the IYI Party's local election strategy.
Party sources denied allegations that “a decoy candidate will be fielded” and put forward the claim that “we will find a candidate who can win.” IYI Party staff also provided information to journalists regarding the “cooperation in Ankara and Istanbul” debates. According to the information obtained, a consensus was reached at the IYI Party GİK meeting that there would be no corporate alliance.
At the meeting, the question, “Can there be cooperation in local areas?” was also brought to the agenda. Party members did not put cooperation in local areas, especially in Ankara and Istanbul, on the agenda due to the thought, “If we cooperate in some cities, our party members in places where there is no cooperation will ask us, ‘Why was there no cooperation here?’” Regarding the debate on “Will the decision to reject cooperation cause the opposition to lose?” IYI Party staff stated, “We will look at our own candidate. In the polls we conducted, nearly 60 percent resulted in ‘No alliance.’” On the other hand, Istanbul MP Ayşe Sibel Yanıkömeroğlu announced that she had resigned from the IYI Party.
