Former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who is already facing a request for a political ban, has now been sued for 'insulting the President' over his remarks during the election period criticizing the use of edited videos on social media.

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu had reacted to edited videos prior to the 2023 Presidential election, while he was still the Chairman of the CHP.
An investigation was launched into these remarks by Kılıçdaroğlu. The Ministry of Justice granted permission for prosecution regarding the indictment prepared by the prosecutor's office.
SHARP REACTION FROM KILIÇDAROĞLU
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu reacted sharply to the lawsuit filed against him.
Stating, "I am never afraid of the Palace Regime and its puppet judiciary," Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu said, "This case is also a case of the Palace's disgrace! Even if it is a case where those who create montages are rewarded and those who try to manipulate millions of our citizens are attempted to be cleared, I will never take a step back! Let those who want to silence me today know well that we will fight the palace regime without deviating a millimeter. Together with our brave companions and our millions of people, we will hold both Erdoğan and his puppet judiciary to account."

In the campaign film released by the Nation Alliance for the 2023 Turkish General Elections, PKK members, including Murat Karayılan, had been edited into the background behind Kılıçdaroğlu.
Following the edited video, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu had used the phrase, "Those who prepare fake videos are called frauds, and a fraud cannot be President," during a CHP Group meeting.
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's words were reported to CİMER by an individual, which subsequently turned into a lawsuit.
