Investigation launched into CHP's Murat Emir

CHP Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir announced that an investigation has been opened against him based on a social media post he made in 2022, following a complaint by the lawyer of Emine Erdoğan, the wife of AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Emir announced this situation to the public through a statement on his social media account.

In his statement, Emir said, "The 'summary of proceedings factory' has started working overtime again. You are packaging a 2022 tweet as 'insult' and creating a perception of 'summaries of proceedings for CHP members.' Read the text; there is no insult. You cannot go into the archives and invent crimes. This is all you could find! Intimidation will not work; there is no backing down, no staying silent." Emir stated that this investigation would not intimidate him and that he would not take a step back.
