The Imralı delegation formed by the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) made a statement following the meetings held with political party representatives in recent days. In the bulletin conveyed by the DEM Party Press Office, it was stated that the delegation met with a delegation led by AKP Deputy Chairman Efkan Âlâ on July 14, and with Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli on July 15 within the scope of the process.
The focus of the meetings was on evaluating the stage the current process has reached and shaping the legal framework rapidly to respond to social needs. In the statement made by the delegation, it was noted that "an exchange of views was held regarding the current stage of the process and the implementation of the legal framework as soon as possible, and its formation in a way that will respond to needs."
While the delegation underlined that similar consultations will continue in the coming days, plans for the future were also shared. The statement highlighted the words, "Following our contacts, we aim to hold a meeting with Öcalan in Imralı as soon as possible."
