Is there a preparation for an internal purge in the MHP? 'A summary of proceedings will be prepared regarding İzzet Ulvi Yönter'

Halk TV columnist İsmail Saymaz stated that the internal crisis within the MHP and the examination of phones in the Ayhan Bora Kaplan investigation have revealed deepening unrest within the party.

Saymaz reported that with Yönter's name being included in the investigation and the possibility of a summary of proceedings (fezleke) coming to the agenda, the crisis in the party could move to a judicial dimension.

BAHÇELİ'S GROUP CONFERENCE TEXT LEAKED

Saymaz brought up allegations that information regarding Devlet Bahçeli's group speech was leaked a day in advance in the correspondence on the phone of Serdar Sertçelik, known as the right-hand man of Ayhan Bora Kaplan. It was understood from the correspondence that Cengiz Haliç had forwarded the content of Bahçeli's speech to Sertçelik in advance, and that this was included in the investigation file.

GREAT UNEASE IN THE MHP

Saymaz stated that an expert report on the authenticity of the correspondence in the report also confirms these allegations. The leaking of Bahçeli's group speech and its contents caused great unease within the MHP. According to Saymaz, following these developments, a deeper purging process regarding the MHP's internal operations could be initiated.

PREPARATION OF SUMMARY OF PROCEEDINGS

Saymaz reported that he had received information that a summary of proceedings could be prepared regarding İzzet Ulvi Yönter and that there would be no obstruction of the judicial process.

It was stated that MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli would not interfere with where the judiciary reaches and would pave the way for this process.

MESSAGES OF INTERNAL PURGE IN THE MHP

Saymaz stated that the latest messages coming from the MHP are to the effect that individuals within the party will be removed if they are involved in the investigations.

He expressed that the statements in the article by Yıldıray Çiçek, an advisor to Bahçeli, show that a purging process targeting individuals within the MHP has begun.

According to Saymaz, İzzet Ulvi Yönter's ties with the MHP have largely been severed. The fact that Yönter does not sit in his former seat at group meetings and is not seen in parliament shows that he is distancing himself from the MHP.

Saymaz stated that Bahçeli's remarks such as "We are sending him to academic life" indicate that Yönter's political career has come to an end.
