Memleket Party Chairman Muharrem İnce had remained silent following the Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.
İnce broke his silence by stating, "I ask you to be patient until Friday. Everything is for the country."
Memleket Party officials state that a broad basis for cooperation with the CHP has not been established, and that after the CHP candidates are finalized at the CHP PM meeting to be held on Friday, an announcement will be made only regarding support for the CHP in Istanbul and Ankara.
WILL THE MEMLEKET PARTY MERGE WITH THE CHP?
According to a report by the Cumhuriyet newspaper, the team coming from the CHP in the corridors wants a "full merger with the CHP." The team consisting of academics who started their political life with the Memleket Party, however, strongly opposes the idea of a merger.
İnce will reach a decision at the Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting to be held today.
