Istanbul Police Department: Parking lot claim is unfounded
The Istanbul Police Department has announced that claims suggesting CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's official vehicle was denied entry to the indoor parking lot at the Atatürk Cultural Center are not reflective of the truth. The police stated that due to congestion at the parking entrance, the vehicle was exited further back to avoid traffic.

The Istanbul Police Department has issued a statement regarding claims that CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's official vehicle was not allowed into the indoor parking lot of the Atatürk Cultural Center.
The statement noted the following:
"Regarding the attack on CHP Chairman Özgür Özel at the Atatürk Cultural Center, news reports appearing in some media outlets stating that 'his official vehicle was not allowed into the indoor parking lot during his entry to the Atatürk Cultural Center' do not reflect the truth. Contrary to what was alleged, due to the congestion at the parking lot entrance, the vehicle was exited further back in order to bypass traffic, and the program area was reached on foot."
